batman writers always try so hard to create their own breakout original character and it’s sooo annoying like batman already has some of the best supporting characters in comics i’m pretty certain no one is picking up the series to read about your oc’s

actually i was thinking of harper and gotham girl. i like duke! that being said i don’t even hate either characters, i just think they could’ve been handled a lot better. if you’re going to introduce a new character you should do it gradually, while also giving some time to the characters readers already have an established interest in. if you’re putting all the focus on some rando it’s just going to feel undeserved and attract resentment more than anything else. this is something a lot of comic writers are guilty of imo
